‘Lake Mungo Virtual Excursion’ is a series of education videos developed by Dart Connections (NSW DEC) unit that remote and disadvantages students can watch to learn about Lake Mungo and its amazing cultural history, climate, geology, fauna and flora, archeology and several other areas that relate to the NSW curriculum. The filming occurred at Lake Mungo early 2017.

 

Community Connect Central West in partnership with DART CONNECTIONS are currently producing a documentary based on the recent repatriation of Mungo Mans to Lake Mungo.

Mungo man, whose remains were discovered in 1974, is believed to have lived between 40,000 and 68,000 years ago. They are the oldest human remains found in Australia.
